LabraNet administration will perform maintenance tasks during week 42. Some of the LabraNet’s services might be out of reach for short periods of time.

Due to a printer driver update first login to LabraNet workstations may take longer than usually. New drivers are installed during first login and after installation login times should return back to normal level.

LabraNet’s server room air condition will be renewed on 24th of August. LabraNet’s services will be down for few hours depending on the renewal.

During the outage:
- Users can not logon to the workstations
- All servers will be down

UPDATE (09:50 24.8.2010): For now it looks like there will be no downtime.

LabraNet will do cleanup for ghost.labranet.jamk.fi/temp -folder after 24.6.2010. So please save all your files before deadline.

We have been reported that there is a problem connecting to LabraNet using VPN from JAMK’s WLAN. We have investigated this problem with JAMK’s administration and found the root cause of the problem. Unfortunately there is no valid solution for the moment so currently it is impossible to connect to LabraNet using VPN via JAMK’s WLAN.

We are experiencing some DNS resolving problems. There are few sites that doesn’t resolve! We have NOT blocked those sites by purpose!
We are sorry for the harm what this problem causes!
UPDATE! (16:14 – 10.3.2010)
DNS resolving should work after rebooting computer / renewing ip-configuration!
Please inform us if it doesn’t!

LabraNet is updating services during Winter Holiday (week number 9). Please be prepared for network outages. We are hoping that everything goes as planned and the downtimes will be short as possible. However there is always a chance that unexpected problems do come up.

UPDATE 1 (1.3.2010 11:29):
Currently we have most of the services running. VPN connection to LabraNet is at the moment disabled.

UPDATE 2 (1.3.2010 14:10):
All services are running normally except VPN. VPN will be back online normally later this week. If you encounter that some of the services is not running as they should, please report us via Contact Form.

UPDATE 3 (2.3.2010 13:42):
VPN is back online and should work normally.

We have found a memory stick from class  room D436. The memory stick can be get from room D325 with proper identification marks.

We have updated our FAQ page because there has been some problems with our virtualized applications. Please read FAQ page if you can not find e.g. Firefox or Adobe Reader on the workstations.

NB! The virtualized programs works even if the icons on the shortcuts does not appear on the desktop. If you don’t have icons on the shortcuts you should contact LabraNet administration and your profile has to be cleared.
